Spotlight – Joelle Keller Interior Designer
October 9, 2016
Joelle has always had a fascination with different cultures and art forms, which drew her into the world of interior design. Her travels around the world from San Francisco to Mexico City, Peru, Brazil, the Netherlands, Belgium, Sydney, Tokyo, Manila, American Samoa, Guam and Hawaii promoted this fascination and her aspirations to work in design.
When it was time to select a university to attend, Joelle was torn between two cities: San Francisco and New York. Since San Francisco is such a diverse melting pot of cultures and art forms, she decided to pursue her studies at the University of San Francisco. After receiving her BFA degree in Interior Design in 1993, she worked for several prominent high-end residential interior design firms such as Martha Angus INC and Wheeler Design Group in San Francisco. It was very rewarding to her to work with the design community, as well as learn about contemporary art and antique furnishings.
In 2005, Joelle was asked to join the Armstrong team as our interior designer for Kai Malu at Wailea. All of our homeowners loved her! She now calls Maui her home with her husband, Kevin, 6 year old son Dillion and 5 year old daughter, Makena. Joelle brings a wealth of experiences to offer all of our homeowners many unique and creative ideas for their island home designs.
